Restoration Field Technician

Position available as seasonal employment with the potential for fulltime status. Position needed to assist with ecological restoration – site preparation, installation and maintenance. Primary responsibilities include: native planting and seed installation; erosion control; brush cutting; herbicide application; prescribed burning; seed harvesting and cleaning; light repair and maintenance of equipment and vehicles; and various other tasks. Experience operating farm or landscape equipment highly desired. Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a CDL required. Position will require obtaining a pesticide applicator’s license. Position requires regular physical activity; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Preferred education is a B.A. in natural resources or other related training, however, training could be provided if other qualifications are met. Pay based on experience.
